There are many things that we haven't solved to our satisfaction. By definition, this section will always be in flux :)
We've had many designs for rudder linkage and such, here's the latest idea, an animation made with Blender3D. I need to figure out how the new Armatures work. So right now the things itself don't move, its just the camera moves around the object:
The animation in DiVX4 AVI format: rudderconcept1_divx.avi 1.2M, 640x480, 10 seconds
The blender file: rudderconcept1.blend 95k
Note: blender is a free (now GPLed, which means with source code) 3D Animation and Game Design Tool that works under Windoze, Linux, *BSD, Irix, BeOS,... Its not bloated, just a few megs big, needs OpenGL. See above for link.
