To start with, here's a list of tools we have used in our building:

  • screwdrivers, all sorts
  • pliers, all sorts
  • Hot Air Gun, eg. for the yoke
  • soldering iron
  • several handsaws
  • jigsaw
  • metal saws
  • angle grinder
  • wood lathe that we borrowed from a friend
  • home-built XYZ-Table (basically a very simple CNC, New: now with computer hookup). For pictures: see end of page.
  • cable ties
  • lots of wood, mostly 18mm particle board
  • aluminum profiles (L-type, flat, tube, rectangular tube)
  • plexiglass and something similar, called "Hobbyglass" (easier to work with that plexi, might be PVC)
  • PVC water pipes (75mm) for the control columns
  • M4, M6, M10, and M12 threaded rods for axes and push-rods
  • ...
